Hastelloy C-276 is a nickel-molybdenum-chromium-tungsten alloy with excellent general corrosion resistance and good fabricability. The alloy should be considered for use in environments where resistance to hot contaminated mineral acids, organic and inorganic chloride-contaminated media, chlorine, formic and acetic acids, acetic, acetic anhydride, sea water and brine solutions is desired.

Hastelloy C-276 has resisted the formation of grain boundary precipitates in the weld heat-affected zone, making it a candidate for most chemical and petrochemical processing applications in the as-welded condition. The alloy has resisted both general and localized corrosion, including pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking.

Hastelloy C-276 is readily fabricated by welding, using methods similar to those utilized for nickel-based alloys.

C70600 & C71500, Copper nickel offers excellent corrosion resistance, especially in marine salt water environments. The main, wrought copper-nickel alloys chosen for sea water service contain 10 or 30 percent nickel. They also have important additions of iron and manganese which are necessary to maintain good corrosion resistance. Some common applications for copper nickel include: valves, and pump components.

For some applications, such as architecture, art or shipbuilding, stainless steel sheet fabrication in dimensions (width and length) that exceed those of commonly used sheets is required. If such a requirement is accompanied by a relatively large thickness – such as 6 mm, 8 mm, 10 mm, etc. –, hot-rolled stainless steel sheets, also called Quarto sheets, can be an interesting solution.

For his major project (70 tons of AISI 316 stainless steel), an internationally renowned artist required metal sheets up to 14,973 x 3,347 x 16.0 mm.

Super Duplex UNS S32750 is the most common super duplex grade in the market. UNS S32750 is a duplex stainless steel especially designed for service in aggressive chloride-containing environments. It has very good resistance to localized corrosion and stress corrosion cracking in combination with high mechanical strength. It is widely used in oil & gas, hydropower, pressure vessels, pulp & paper, structural components and chemical tankers.

Super Duplex UNS S32760 is among the most common super duplex grade in the market. UNS S32760 is a duplex stainless steel especially designed for service in aggressive chloride-containing environments and has additions of W and Cu compared to UNS S32750. It has very good resistance to localized corrosion and stress corrosion cracking in combination with high mechanical strength

Alloy 20 was designed specifically to withstand sulfuric acid. Its nickel, chromium, molybdenum and copper levels all provide excellent general corrosion resistance. Restricted carbon plus columbium stabilization permits welded fabrications to be used in corrosive environments, normally without post-weld heat treatment. At 33% nickel, Alloy 20 has practical immunity to chloride stress corrosion cracking. This alloy is often chosen to solve SCC problems, which may occur with 316L stainless.
